Shadow Puppetry

A form of non-verbal theatre that uses shadows to convey stories, emotion, and whimsy

In this workshop, the children will learn about the Eastern origins of shadow puppetry, work as a group to create puppets and performance to be shared at the end of the session. They will learn about the different materials and techniques used to create this unique art form.  They will also develop imaginative ways of applying form to content, exploring the use of light and dark and the creation of shadows.
